A New Year...

Hey there!

I'm Allan Benjamin, a humble resident of Grand Island, New York. Since late 2018, I've been investing my evenings and weekends learning how to create knives and other small tools.

Unlike many knifemakers, I do not have a background in hunting, military, survival, or trades. While I do enjoy summers out on the lake shore and hiking random paths in any patch of woods, I am first and foremost an educator and life-long science nerd.  I fell into knifemaking quite by accident and it has become part of who I am. Quite literally, I had a huge gap of time in my day and decided to fill it with a hobby. Knifemaking has stuck with me ever since.
